AFE’s last Annual Gala – in 2019 – had the tagline “Together for Every Student.”
This year, we optimistically adapt that tagline to be “Back Together Again (for Every Student)” with the hope that we will gather in-person to enjoy good company, entertainment, food, and drink, while honoring organizations and individuals whose efforts have made a significant contribution to the students of the City School District of Albany through these challenging COVID times. If circumstances do not permit an in-person event, we will transition to an online or hybrid event.
The Gala is scheduled for Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Albany Barn.

By supporting the Gala as an Honorary Committee member or Business Sponsor, you allow AFE to provide unique opportunities for Albany’s students. All proceeds from the Gala support the academic, physical, social and emotional well-being of Albany City School District students. Over the past two years, AFE has pivoted to meet immediate needs, supplying chromebooks for students in households where multiple children were sharing one device, providing weekend food bags for students during the school year and summer, and offering grants to teachers to help them adapt their lessons to the challenges of virtual and socially distanced learning. All of these programs share a common goal – to ensure that our students can learn, grow, and succeed.
